The Atlantic is searching for an Audience Development Manager to help our journalism reach and engage more readers, viewers, and listeners. You will contribute to the growth team’s support of edit, product, consumer revenue, and advertising, among other departments, as an expert on audience-related trends. As such, you will be a key resource for all things audience—what stories people are consuming, how often they are engaging with us, and how we’re faring with our most-loyal fans and customers.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, depending on the news cycle and the changes that will inevitably spring up across the platforms where we publish. But part of your daily focus will always account for analysis of off-platform reach, consumer marketing campaigns, and test schedules. You will also dabble in search marketing and social media acquisition.
We are looking for a specific set of skills, but these experiences could come from a number of backgrounds. Prior experience in publishing and media is preferable, but a passion for journalism is most important. GA 360, Facebook Analytics, Google Data Studio, and SimilarWeb will be daily destinations. You’ll report directly to the Director of Audience Development, based in New York.
