Director, Client Services

Government Executive Media Group (GEMG) is Atlantic Media’s B2B division focused on public sector innovation. Known as one of the fastest growing B2B digital media companies, GEMG’s brands include Government Executive, Nextgov, Defense One and Route Fifty, all of which now hold market-leading positions in their respective sectors. GEMG clients are composed of Fortune 500 companies, cutting-edge tech companies, top-tier consulting firms and other leading organizations who engage with GEMG to create breakthrough marketing programs across digital, events, research, and custom content.

We are seeking a high-energy, creative, and entrepreneurial individual to join our ranks to manage strategic marketing campaigns for some of our largest clients, as well as help to evolve and scale the client services team as GEMG continues to grow. An obsession with delivering exceptional client service, a hyper-focus on project management and operational efficiency, and a love for using creative thinking to solve client problems are all qualities that will drive success in this role.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with clients to manage innovative, high-performing marketing campaigns targeting the government audience. Manage post-sales client relationships, expectations, and delivery of ROI.
  • Serve as POC for clients, creating contracts, building timelines, scheduling project meetings, creating and presenting metrics reports and managing campaign execution from activation to recap.
  • Oversee processes and standards for delivering exceptional “white glove” service to our marketing clients.
  • Drive efficient, seamless communications and workflow across sales, product and execution teams.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts to address complex client requirements and issues.
  • Work with audience marketing, digital, content, research and design teams to ensure campaigns are delivered in full.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a program/project management role, preferably with a media organization, digital agency, or B2B company
  • Extensive experience in managing complex digital and content marketing campaigns in the government market
  • Strong experience in managing client engagements, including leading client meetings, communicating program updates, creating client reports, etc.
  • Exceptional organization and workflow management skills
  • Strong background in digital advertising and media preferred
  • Familiarity using project management applications, such as Asana
  • Excellent written, verbal communications skills
  • Poise and grace under pressure
  • Working knowledge of ad trafficking, AdBook (or similar system) and Salesforce preferred

Across Atlantic Media, generally, the firm looks for two “pillar gifts” in its candidates.  In all of us, these are more aspirational than actual, but they are central in our intentions.

1. Force of Intellect - Atlantic Media seeks a discipline and rigor of thought as manifested, often, in exceptional academic performance and, later, success in a professional environment.
2. Spirit of Generosity - Equally, Atlantic Media seeks what we term a spirit of generosity – a natural disposition towards service and selfless conduct.

Atlantic Media is an EOE of Minorities/Women/Vets/Disability.
