The Atlantic is seeking an ambitious, creative, and strategy-minded journalist to oversee our growing suite of newsletters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to recognize and analyze audience behaviors and interests—including identifying niche segments of The Atlantic’s large audience. This journalist should have an intuitive sense for what makes a compelling, top-quality email product, as well as a deep understanding of what makes newsletters special—both by themselves, and as a complement to the The Atlantic’s journalism as it appears across other platforms. This journalist should be a talented writer and a meticulous editor; skilled at collaborating across editorial and product teams; brimming over with ideas big and small; and energized by an experimental approach to building both niche and general-interest products.
